Photoepilation procedure description

Before the procedure, our specialist holds a consultation with the patient, collects detailed information about patient’s health and determines the patient’s skin type and hair color. It is necessary for the right choice of parameters for the photoepilation procedure.

During the procedure, the patient is to wear tinted glasses to protect eyes against flashes of light. Just before the procedure, special gel is applied to the skin. It absorbs photoenergy and prevents burns. After that, the epilation area is exposed to light. Our specialist treats the skin with a special sapphire glass spot. Such focused action is directed only to hair follicles, which leads to their breakage, while the surrounding tissues are not affected.

Deep bikini: photoepilation of sensitive areas

Photoepilation can be accompanied by a slight tingling sensation but it disappears soon after the beginning of the procedure. For the treatment of the most sensitive areas, anesthesia can be applied before the procedure. After the procedure, soothing and smoothing spray is applied to the skin. Within 3 weeks, undesired hair completely disappear. Periodicity of procedures depends on hair growth physiology, while their number is individual for each patient.

Growth centers of hair follicles are photosensitive only when in the growth stage, which is characteristic of only 15-20% of hairs. As practice shows, about five procedures are required to achieve the optimal result (complete permanent hair removal) in the areas of bikini or armpits. However, just after the first procedure, the number of hairs is considerably reduced, they become thinner. The number of procedures is individual and depends on a number of factors: endocrine profile, body type of a particular patient etc. On average, 3 to 5 procedures are required.
